On January 8th my wife Melissa and I arrived in Franklin Tennessee. We had travelled the road for 8 days on a journeythat would end with a destination we would call home. I had been born and raised in the sunshine state of California.

A resident my entire life, and after 58 years my wife and I decided a change of home was necessary. A new state. A new county. A new job, and new people to meet. A new way of life that seemed daunting and exciting all at once. And a brand new house to call our home.

Then Covid-19 hit. And with a vengeance the world became a home of isolation. A house of uncertainty and confusion. And for a time I felt trapped and alone in this rented dwelling I called home. Then I looked across the room at my wife who's smile said it all. Your heart is home. Welcome to Tennessee.
